2022年10月16日上午10时，中国共产党第二十次全国代表大会在北京人民大会堂开幕。大会历时7天，于2022年10月22日上午胜利闭幕。党的二十大是我国迈上全面建设社会主义现代化国家新征程、向第二个百年奋斗目标进军的关键时刻，这是一次十分重要的大会，举国关注、世界瞩目。

The National Congress and the Central Committee it elects are the highest leading bodies of the Party. 

党的全国代表大会和其产生的中央委员会是中国共产党最高领导机关。

When the National Congress is not in session, the Central Committee leads all the work of the Party.

党的全国代表大会闭会期间，中央委员会领导党的全部工作。

The National Congress is held once every five years and convened by its Central Committee.

党的全国代表大会每五年举行一次，由中央委员会召集。

It reviews the work of the CPC over the past five years，sets roadmap for both the Party and the country，and elects new CPC central leadership.

大会总结过去五年的工作，制定党和国家未来五年的发展，并选举新一届中央领导集体。

The Congress comes at an important time when the PCP has embarked on a new journey to build a modern socialist country in all respects and to realize the second centenary goal.
