白露，是“二十四节气”中的第十五个节气，代表着暑天的闷热气候基本结束，是秋季由闷热转向凉爽的转折点。

White Dew, the 15th solar term of the year, indicates the real beginning of cool autumn. The temperature declines gradually and the vapors in the air often condense into white dew on the grass and trees at night.

译文：白露是24节气中的第15个节气，它象征着凉爽秋天的真正开始。气温逐渐下降，在夜晚，空气中的水蒸气常常在树木或草叶上凝结成洁白的露珠。

在第二句英文当中，decline是动词，意为“(数量、质量等的)下降，减少或者衰退”，declines gradually 是指气温的逐渐下降。注意这里的副词gradually 是非常重要的，它代表着气温不是突然或者陡然改变，而是逐渐慢慢地变化。
